

Ministerial Visit takes in CityEV charge points in Brighton
George Freeman MP – Minister of State at the Department for Transport, recently visited Brighton and Hove to look at local busses taking advantage of the £220M Government bus fund package and additionally discuss developments and plans in rolling out innovative solutions for implementing low carbon transport including CityEV lamp column charge points.
The Minister, talking with the hardworking project management staff leading the charge point innovations in and around Brighton and Hove was keen to learn and is very supportive of Brighton’s forward thinking plans for a low carbon transport system. The CityEV lamp column units have been on long term trial in Brighton and are now being rolled out in 2020 with Electric Blue as operating partners, to significantly increase the availability of charge points in Brighton and Hove, with more than 200 locations planned for this year and more to follow; enabling residents and visitors to make the switch to electric transport and benefit the entire community.
